Welcome
Hi, I’m Mirko.
Curious. Full of ideas. Passionate about processes. And online since the early days.
I love questioning things, coming up with new ideas and getting people excited about them. Here you can find out more about me, my projects and my first steps on the internet.
About me
Inspiring people. Getting things moving.
I’m Mirko and I live in Hamburg. I like developing new ideas, questioning the status quo, and trying things out and building them myself.
Professionally, I’ve been working in process management for more than 20 years. For me, it’s above all about people. I’m convinced that good processes don’t just work, they can give people energy and get them excited.
I want to create experiences that inspire people and set something in motion. Over the years, that idea has grown into a number of projects, from New Process and my podcast to a software of my own.
And since computers and the internet have been part of my life for almost as long as I can remember, there’s also this website. The first version of MirkoKloppenburg.net went online in 2000.
You can find more about my professional background on LinkedIn.

What I’m working on
- New Process My initiative for process management that gets people excited. With a podcast, ideas, knowledge and tools for everyone who wants to think about processes differently. Visit website · newprocesslab.com →
- RocketBPM My own software for simple, human-centric process management. It grew out of the idea that process management can be intuitive and even fun. Visit website · rocketbpm.com →
- MKBurg My company, where I help organizations rethink their processes and bring people on board for change. Visit website · mkburg.de →
- The Global Mirko Club An international club for people named Mirko. A slightly crazy idea I simply had to make happen. Of course, I’m a member myself. Visit website · mirko.info →
Digital Memories
It all began in 2000.
In 2000, I already had my first homepage at MirkoKloppenburg.net. The internet was a very different place back then.
I’ve kept a few screenshots and texts from that time. In the Digital Archive you can take a look at my first steps on the web.
