My first homepage from the year 2000.

In 2000 I programmed my first homepage, in blue on black. The lettering in the logo is my own handwriting, which I turned into a font back then. Here are a few pages as screenshots, each with a short note. They are excerpts; personal details and contact data have been left out.

The 2001 welcome: why the domain ends in .net, because the web is international, plus the promise “read or leave”.

Mirko and Computer

How it all began: in 1986 the family’s first computer, a Commodore PC 10 III with an amber monitor, later my own 486 and a school internship.

My company

On 6 October 2000 I applied for a trade licence and founded “MKBurg Computer”. First jobs, from networks to web design, plus a shop project for storage media.

School

A look back at my school years at KGS Schwanewede: kayak trips, vocabulary tests, computer science and a talk on “internet addiction”.

Civilian service

333 days from 3 July 2000 at a social centre in Bremen-Nord: personal impressions of working with elderly and disabled people.

Studies

Short and sweet: since 16 July a dual degree in business informatics, employed by Lufthansa Cargo, with the academic part at the Berufsakademie Mannheim.

And the rest?

Further sections such as CB radio, hip hop and the guestbook were set up but never finished: the guestbook only says “still needs to be programmed”.
